:: View Dr. Sam Most's NBC TV segments (San Francisco || Seattle) about two over-the-counter creams for facial rhytids.  His findings - that they had no significant ability to reduce wrinkles - are published in the Sept-Oct 2007 issue of Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery.
 
::: Visit the new "Not a Cough in a Carload" website, a collection of tobacco ads presented by Dr. and Mrs. Robert Jackler. The Lane Library exhibit profiles the tobacco industry's use of deceptive pseudoscience and false claims to reassure the public that smoking was not only safe but healthy.

:: Congratulations to Dr. Stefan Heller and his laboratory, awarded a $2.5 million California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) Grant to study the production of inner ear cells from stem cells to cure deafness.  The grant is drawn from California's Proposition 71 Stem Cell Research Fund.
